El-Dabaa Nuclear Power Plant
The $25 billion El-Dabaa Nuclear Power Plant, Egypt's first nuclear plant, is expected to provide 10% of the country’s electricity once completed. The project is being built with four reactors, each generating 1,200 MW, with construction currently at 25% completion. By its expected operational date in 2028, the plant will reduce Egypt's dependency on fossil fuels, lowering carbon emissions by over 3 million tons annually.
